Management
Thomas Vollbrecht, Chief Monkey
Tom, our Chief Monkey, holds a deep-rooted passion for the outdoors, and his understanding of outdoor consumer needs is spawned by his love of the outdoors. He is an avid road cyclist, mountain biker, nordic and backcountry skier, and competitive sailor. Tom is an innovator who is constantly coming up with new ideas, including SmartCrossbars™! It is this need to continuously innovate that inspired him to start Wasatch Powder Monkeys (“WPM”). His preferred mode of innovating is through collaboration, so WPM is all about open input from outdoor consumers!
Sally Vollbrecht, Design Monkey
Sally is all about being outside; running, skiing, mountain and horseback riding, too! She’s totally into being outside whenever possible. Sally’s design background brings an incredible sense of layout, color and detail. Her formal training in the discipline guides WPM’s presence and presentation whether it’s on the web, in print or on our totally cool cycling jerseys.
Matt Hurley, Website Monkey
Many who know Matt are aware of his musical talents, but he is also inextricably tied to the outdoors as an avid runner and sailor. He is also an innovator with his talents as a web designer and developer coming to the fore long before many had even heard of the World Wide Web. He was a key designer in Sapient’s San Francisco office before being tapped for an elite team to establish their Denver presence.
